The PC version of Silent Hill 2, which was eagerly awaited by horror game fans, disappointed some of the players. Developed with Unreal Engine 5, many PC players are struggling with many technical issues. Instead of having a smooth experience, players have reported that they are faced with constant stuttering.
Silent Hill 2 stutering: Why is this happening?
Although Silent Hill 2, developed by Bloober Team, looks impressive with its spectacular graphics quality, performance issues seriously reduce the enjoyment of the game. In particular, the so-called ‘traversal stutter’, which occurs when moving around the game world, is evident even on the most powerful PCs experiencing the game.
Another problem of the game is the stuttering animations… Players who try to solve this problem by lowering the frame rate are faced with a change in the game speed. This makes us think that Unreal Engine 5 may have serious problems at its core and that it was released to the producers before it was ready.
Players hope that Bloober Team will fix these problems as soon as possible. Otherwise, the PC version of Silent Hill 2 will continue to be a big disappointment for fans of the series… As a matter of fact, the reviews on Steam, which were very good at first, have been showing a negative trend recently.
It is unclear when and how Bloober Team and Epic Games will solve these problems. Do not forget to share your experiences about the game with us in the comments.
